The Rockwell Hardness Scale is widely used and not difficult to understand. Recently still another hook manufacturer switched the continent of manufacture and steel type of a popular hook without notice - to the dismay of consumers.
I would prefer to truth and accuracy in advertising to the school of hard knocks, regardless of the vendor.
