| Andy was the first guy that got me tying baitfish with craft fur, maybe 10 years back with an earlier predecessor of this pattern, a baby squawfish he was using for American river stripers. The movement of craft fur just looks like you have live bait on the line. The red/white one Dave has been using for a good while for tarpon. The blue/chartreuse on white is just a color combo Dave likes for open/deeper water since it covers such a wide range of bait and was tied on his request. I tied the tan ones just cause the profile looked like it could maybe double for a little grass or mantis shrimp. Dave gets back from Mexico in a few weeks, I'll update you guys on how they perform. |
