Size 6 jig hooks tends to be larger(longer) and most of J-hooks.
I really hope some maker will produce new jig hooks with shorter shanks/wider gaps.

Attached picture shows the Fly shop jig hooks(size 1,2,4,6), EC 413(size 1,2), Timco 811(size 2) and Gamakatsu SC15(size 1) for comparison.
The scale resolution in the picture is 1/4 inch, so the length of the fly shop jig hook (size 6) is 1 inch+.
