Depends. If they are on the flats you can get away with 80, no problem. But, when you hook them near reefs or bommies, you are in for a hiding if it’s a big fish. I’ve been busted up with running 100lb straight, but that’s nothing compared to deep jigging guys that get busted on 120lb outfits. I prefer Seagar fluoro.
