One thing to consider is for very spooky fish in low wind conditions, try using a material that will not hold water such as a synthetic. It will land whisper soft and not spook tailing fish near by. Some rabbit, fox, marabou materials may land with more splat just from the water weight. I also really like mono eyes on my unweighted flies. I buy the eyes or will make them from burnt mono that I paint or just color with the flame of a candle - they turn a nice dark olive brown from the smoke. Good luck, it is great throwing tiny flies to tails and fins in shallow water!!
