Hey Serge,

I think that more information is needed to answer your question:

This rod would be great for Jr. size tarpon, but it is
probably too big for babies and too small for adults. IMHO.
Personally, for tarpon over 80# I prefer a 12 wt. and for
tarpon under 25# I prefer an 8 wt.
