I fished Christmas Island last week with a group staying at the Ikari House. Our fishing echoed the comments listed by others. The weather was tough with rain and clouds during most of the week. We spent most of our time stalking GT's on the edges of dropoffs and pancake flats. Part of our group did some chumming and had unbelievable action on GT's to over 40lbs while myself and a few others tried to do it the hard way.

I had 4-6 good shots at GT's over 15 lbs each day and fed a 40+lb fish on the final afternoon of the trip...unfortunately it didn't stay connected. It was my first trip to the island and I was very happy with the fishing, guides, food and accommodations. I have already reserved my days for next year! I have some photos posted to my Flickr page as well as some others posted by people in my group.
