That was 20 years ago. I haven't heard of anything like that happening again. I'm not saying it hasn't; but with the Internet, I doubt word of an incident could be kept quite for long.

That said, I wouldn't take a non-fishing wife there for the reasons already stated - she'd be bored stiff.

My wife would love the place because she likes flats fishing, birds and wild life.

Some wives stay in Hawaii while their husbands fish C.I., meeting up on his return to the Island for a few days of "togetherness".
