Dan I remember it being really hot when I was there in August and I recall sweating a lot and having to keep up with hydration. The AC at the villages worked well and I turned it off in the middle of the night because I got cold so you should be fine when you go back.
We went in February to get out of the cold weather here and I was a little concerned about running into a crowd with several other lodges operating there, but it was never an issue. I think I only saw one fisherman from another lodge on one day as we passed by a flat in the boat.
The group size at The Villages was 12 which was a nice group. Small enough for conversation at breakfast and dinner and not big enough to create logistical problems.
