Sometimes you can have excess fuel that has leaked down into the crankcase on a 4 cycle motor and mixed with the crankcase oil.

Then if you run the motor for one long period it can burn off the fuel and seem to be low on oil.

Also if you have not changed the oil and filter in a while it will burn more oil.

I would call 'Sutter Marine' in Yuba City and ask for Brian and run it by him.

Or call 'Buck's Outboard' in south Sacramento and ask for Jerry.

Or call 'Gone Fishen' Marine' in Dixon, CA.
