The calendar may say it’s February, but it will feel like June when the Pleasanton Fly Fishing Show doors swing open Fri. (2/22/13) at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, 4501 Pleasanton Ave.
The show will feature casting and fly-tying demonstrations by Hal Janssen, Simon Gawesworth, Gary Borger and Jeff Currier; and seminars on Baja (Mexico), the Eastern Sierra, Oregon Steelhead and California Surf.
Not-to-be-missed fly-tying demos both Sat. and Sun. by Dan Blanton! The annual edition of the Pleasanton Fly Fishing Show will feature a sneak preview of never-before-seen new products from the worldwide fly-fishing industry. The show is open 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Fri.; 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sat.; and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sun. Admission is $15 for one day, $25 for two days and $35 for the entire event.
