I agree with Peter. I suspect that the students have a genuine interest in the species and what a great way to have an opportunity to fish /study Eleuthra bonefish. I would volunteer for the opportunity to be the catch and release arm of the next study. More people would end up harming the fish in the handling in and out of the bags. If a fish is fought on gear that allows you to bring the fish to hand rapidly, the fish is handled properly , revived and released -there shouldn't be significant mortality. If there are a lot of predators in the area perhaps the fishermen need to focus elsewhere. My .02.
