Peter Gorinsky: In Hospital but OK

My name is Dave Sherwood - I'm a friend and long-time fishing companion of Peter Gorinsky of Costa Rica. I wanted to post a quick note on this board, where Peter has written many times and has many good friends, to let you all know that he was hospitalized in San Jose after two heart attacks shortly upon returning home from guiding a successful tarpon and machaca fishing trip near the Nicaragua border. Peter, of course, is a survivor; all those who know him recognize that his good cheer, generosity and love of fishing have kept him alive through thick and thin - but every little bit counts and I'm sure he'd appreciate some encouraging words from old friends - near and far. If you find a minute, please send him a "get-well-soon" note - either posted here or directly to his personal email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those who don't know him - Peter is a legend in his own right; among the last of a breed of true fly-fishing pioneers who has devoted a lifetime to helping develop local fisheries in far-flung places, from Costa Rica to Guyana. Many of us have been fortunate to learn the tricks of the trade from Peter; he has always shared his knowledge freely, with good will and good cheer; never asking for anything in return.
Please send him a note - I know he'd appreciate it.
p.s Attached photo taken last year of Peter tight to a tarpon on a jungle river in northern Costa Rica...
