Mike,
My mechanic thinks some of the problems I've had have been in fact due to the thermostat sticking open and the motor running too cool. I believe he replaced a sticking thermostat a year or two ago. I have him do a complete service once a year and I'll have him check the thermostat each time. I don't know how one would know if the motor was running at normal operating temperature.
So far I haven't had any problems with my fuel lines but I'll talk it over with my mechanic and if he feels we should change out some lines we will.
