|As this thread illustrates, there are a lot of pissed off people affected by DFG's proposed reg changes coming down the pike, including me. Not going to get on my soapbox today...|
What I will volunteer is that we collectively should start thinking about how to most effectively make a political impact on the Commission when the public commentary period for the proposal begins. There are a LOT of striper fisherman that will not be in support of a reg change for all the reasons cited below, but we are largely a disenfranchised group and need a legal mechanism for documenting angler dissatifaction that can be presented to the Commission to bolster just warms bodies and "rhetoric" at the public meetings...a website we create (or subscribe to) with ability to fill out an online petition? Not a web guy, but seems like th easiest way to get thousands of signatures voicing our opposition.
I saw a new story this week where a 23 year started an on-line petitioning website because she was upset about BOA's proposed ATM fee hike. It got over 200K signatures and worked....
