I agree. Hyperbolic rhetoric does indeed make one look bad. But you can't argue that the DFG has not invited it.
Marty, I'm sorry about this. I do "feel you". But under your watch the delta has not prospered and you and I both know it's not because of striped bass. So what are you going to do about it? Lash out against the angling public for fighting for what's left?

Per the intent of your post, we'll professionally chant the proper process "incantations" at all the meetings. We'll demand full CEQA compliance on every element we can easily claim, and any other we dream up, and then let you all deal with it. Either way it's a street fight and, again, I'm sorry about that. But seriously, you had to have seen this sh!t storm coming.
I don't see DFG recovering from this in a decade, no matter the outcome, even given the terms of the settlement agreement as it pertains to the Commissions response to the proposal.
