A side note on rattles. When I was first making the pole dancer 4 or 5 years ago I wanted a really consistently loud rattle. I found one all right at Barlow's tackle in Texas.

Of course they are for the conventional fisherman primarily but they are made of a poly carbonate material and they are by far and away the loudest most effective rattle I was able to come up with.
