Hey Dave,

Thanks Dave. Until I started using the dubbed body, for jig style flies, it just didn't seem right.

It is interesting that a subtle difference in the material will change the action so much. However, yes, I can see where long shuck cactus chenille might be a problem.
I know you have really honed the edge on this darting action, and a great contribution to fly tying.

RE: Dubbed body.
The SST Dubbing is very fine material, lays against the body, when wet, but has some breathing characteristics. It would extend back, beyond the body, maybe 1/2", and blend with the wing.
This might not work, but thought I would mention it.

There are so many material options these day, it's hard to keep up, and the differences really can change the look and action of the fly.
