Believe me, in no way do I feel like those rivers are mine or anyone elses "secret spots". And, I believe you are right, the increased pressure is directly related to the "S" rivers being closed for the March/April catch & release season and perhaps a bit due to the "English Pete" fish pics from last winter ( as Jeff was eluding to ). You are also right about the many years of awesome writings from Glasso and a host others. For what it's worth, I live about half way between the OP and the "S" rivers and so I am fortunate to spend a lot of time on all of them. I also know how to get away from the crowds and still have very enjoyable days on all of those waters. Frankly, the only reason I took the time to post on the subject at all was because the original post made a point of mentioning how crowded the rivers were and I found that quite ironic since he was posting his fish pics and talking about the rivers with which he found those beautiful steelies. I think that very few people look at maps or read the classic writings anymore, trying to figure it out for themselves, but EVERYONE is on the internet fishing for the easy information. And, since they are in my backyard, I'd like not to see them become "closer to combat and further from enjoyment":) anytime too soon. Fish em' while you've got em', I guess. Have a good one.
