Max,
So you think one should be able to aerialize 30ft of 5wt line at maximum with a rod that the designer thinks is best suited to 5wt line in the type of fishing he/she has thought, which could be 15ft casts on a creek or 90' casts on a lake. That's as wise as saying that the use of geared reel is not fly fishing.
