Greg, I don't think that applies to the casting tournament circuit, perhaps the ISE shows but I believe that now (for the tournament circuit) it needs to be a labeled 5 weight rod and line that is available retail, or has been available retail. I'm not a tournament caster, have just been intrigued by the 5 weight thing, that's all. It certainly teaches you a great deal about several critical aspects of casting. I have learned a new casting method and I have applied it to fishing situations with great effect.
