That picture was taken in the Northwest. There are no aluminum jet sleds like that used anywhere else in the lower 48. The original report, which appeared about a year ago, was that the fish was caught in the Columbia system (where fish this size are actually common...thesedays), actually the lower Willamette, which, below the falls is just an extension of the Columbia and the fish move freely between.

I have caught several that are almost that size. Pics on my website It is illegal thesedays to remove an oversize (bigger than 6') fish from the water.

Steve, we can do this (almost this size) any day of the week here from mid May thru september. Most people are totally worn out after one fish.....if they get that far.
