2-handed on the flats?

I've read here and there about using 2-handed (mostly short 2-handers) wading saltwater flats to chase permit and bones (and others). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything overly detailed about it, other than periodic mentions of having done it.

Anyone out there ever done this? It seems like there would be some advantages, primarily in the form of distance (I keep thinking of permit in Placencia that just won't come within 100' of me), but problems of accuracy, line management, etc. come to mind.

Just wondering about people's experiences and practical aspects.

Why? No real reason. I'm just having a blast using my 2-handers, and looking to continue to experiment with them. Years ago a buddy of mine used to use a 15'-er off of the beach at Montauk and those long casts were amazing. But that was shooting heads and less stealthy or accurate casting, so I'm just curious about what others are doing.

Thanks all in advance.
