Funny thing happened when I got my multiplying Maxum reel. The DH rods feel a hell of a lot better holding the hefty Maxum than any other DD type reel has. Easier to hold and easier to cast, and the shooting head goes further as well.
And that covers all my DH rods from 9 feet to 15 feet.
