Michael,

I can only imagine the shock and sense of hopeless loss you must have felt when you saw your skiff had sunk. Wow!

The closest thing to that which almost stopped my heart is when I walked down to my wet berth to go fishing after being away for a couple of weeks to find my skiff missing from its berth with no note from the marina or phone call to tell me they temporarily moved it. Like I said, I almost had heart failure on the spot. I have total replacement insurance but if the boat had been stolen, it would have taken a few weeks or more to get a replacement.

Since then I've locked my skiff to the dock so no can move it or steel it unless they've got bolt cutters - big ones!

I hope you do have good insurance and that you can salvage or replace the skiff and gear at minimum cost.

My condolences...

Dan

PS: terrific weather shot by the way
