Wow! How do you do this stuff . . . guess I don't really want to know. Impressive though.

Your model elegantly shows why a line is bright on the away-from-the-sun side, but why does the leader flash from the sunlit side? Here is a quick (10 second) clip of a streamer being pulled through clear water with a 10# fluorocarbon leader (so much for the claim "nearly invisible"). The video is slowed to a 25% frame rate to more easily see the flash. At normal speeds it truly resembles a brilliant spark streaking down the line and I've seen countless fish shy or bolt from the flash.
