It is just silver Krystal Flash. Really a simple and quick fly to tie but incredibly effective on finicky fish. I use it all winter long when the tiny threadfin shad are balled up into huge schools. It was really tough to get thos stripers to eat until we started using that fly. I am pretty sure the hot pink Fluoro Fiber is the difference maker on this pattern (besides just matching the size). Paul Van Reenen told me about this stuff 15 yrs ago. Now ALL my flies get a throat or gill plate with this stuff.
