Hey Joe,

I have had a lot of success on my Somethin' Else fly when needing a small baitfish. It really is nothing more then a super small Clouser tied 1 1/2" long using polar fiber. The ploar fiber when tied that small breathes better then any material I have used. The hot pink fluoro fiber is the KEY to this patterns success. When fishing gazillions of small baitfish balled up this is my go-to pattern. Tie it in olive/wht, grey/wht and shrimp/wht. All color ways get the fluoro fiber. It is important to tie the white ALL THE WAY DOWN THE HOOK SHANK as polar fiber will foul some, but not if tied that way. Great for the albies up your way and stripers down my way. Dan Blanton LOVES little flies! (LOL)
