SLR Flies

from the time I caught my first Forebay striper, first striper at all, from my pram on a size 4 trout streamer just a few years ago I guess I have pretty much just turned into a SLR striper fisherman. I tried whisters, craft fur, brown over jellow over cream, olive over gold over white, this flash and that synthetic and they all catch fish if there are fish there to be caught and you can find them. Now I just use the old faithful chartreuse over white bucktail Eagle claw 2/0 jig hook Clouser w/ 5/16" eyes and a hint of flash. Easy to tie and cast, lasts a while, catches lots of fish, only uses a couple cheap materials.

Am I missing something or am I just lazy and in my comfort zone?
