I add my own angel hair to my ties. I blend the wig hair with the angel hair. I have it in bulk, like 3 foot length and then I can preen out a few fibers at a time and add it to the wig hair material. On my bait fish pattern, I have had any snarls or matted flies. I coat the head with a fairly heavy coat of flex coating and taper it back so it will keep the hair from fowling around the bend. Like Steve mentioned toothy critters can really fowl up the hair. Just cut the fly off and tie on a new fly JM
