I certainly agree about the rats nest factor. I use an old hook minus point and barb and I think the idea came from you via Michael Rosa. Still a PIA! Another way to avoid the problem is to tie with slinky fiber and add your own flash. If I do this I use krystal flash or flashabou depending on the day of the week and the moon phase. :o)
