Maxima Ultragreen is the best I've been able to do in freshwater (to my eyes anyway), but it seems to quit being dull once it's broken in and starts glowing more with age. Izor smoke is pretty dull also. I believe glare on the line makes a big difference for older big eyed fish, which is why I find it next to impossible to catch giant largemouth bass or bigger brown trout with direct sunlight penetration on glassy water unless really fishing fast. Put some rain and/or wind into the equation, heavy fog, etc... to cut the direct light penetration and it all changes! Or maybe they just couldn't see me or both. Keep us posted!
