Hi Ralph,

Now we're talking! I think line glint is a far bigger issue than index
of refraction in seeing lines in the water but of course it depends
on the orientation of sun and line to the viewer - I have no
solid proof one way or the other but you can likely resolve this issue
with your underwater work. I know for fluoro, the
old Seaguar CarbonPro seemed to have an unusually non-reflecting finish.
I have not found a similar nylon...

It is worth noting that some fly fishers use a green scrub pad to remove
the shine from tippet though I wonder if this might just makes the glint
worse. The other solution is to rub Snake River Mud on the tippet to remove the shine
from tippet (in addition to making it sink more easily)...
