| Some folks use KW+4 for the BC in the middle keys. I would guess you are looking at +3-4 hours after the Oceanside tide for the area you are talking about. At some point you might have IC from the Atlantic while the BC is still OG. Don't forget the wind. If the wind is against the tide that will weaken it and if it is with the tide it will be stronger. I have rescued a local who forgot to watch the wind and would up stuck on the crown of a flat when the wind picked up and blew out the low lying water on it. We had to leave the skiff till the tide came back up. Meanwhile a big storm came up and we had to go back in the storm to get his boat. It cost me a push pole (lost in the storm) but saved his skiff. If the wind is quartering the tide I hope you have a dry riding skiff with trim tabs. |
