Steve, I am not too sure if you know this or not but I made custom longbows and recurves and shipped them all over the world for a long time. I sold the business to a customer and he has carried on very nicely. http://stalkerrecurves.com/ You might want to get a stickbow and try that "up close and personal" style of exciting hunting. Super fun , very challenging and most rewarding when it works out just right.I have a ton of great memories about hogs shot at 5 to 10 yards. I shot a bull elk at 3 yards in Eastern Oregon one time.The arrow barely had enough room to clear the front of the bow handle before hitting the bull. What a rush.Fun way to spend some time in the woods. Cheers Chas
