|Here is a squid fly I have been playing around with. I'd like some suggestions. |
The body is 3 inches long and this is articulated, using a shank attached to an SC-15 3/0. Material is SF Flash Blend (shrimp). Tentacles are silli-legs. The rear half is constructed with Jonny King's V-tie method. The eyes are on 40# mono using Pete Gray's method (bent mono attached to back of eyes with Tuffleye Flex). The shank section is wrapped with lead wire and the material is attached by using a brush.
So how can I improve this? Make it longer or bushier? I hate to tie a bunch of these without testing and that is months away.
