$279 for a day pack strikes me as a bit pricey. For surf fishing, when I want to carry alot of stuff, especially when exploring a new beach or experimenting with a new technique, I carry a regular canvas/nylon book bag type pack that I can dry out later, and put a $25 large dry bag inside it to keep the contents dry...
