Hey Phil, from what i've learnt researching around the place the situations squid flies get used in are quite varied. From the fjords of Norway to Sydney Harbour and many places in between, people fish with squid, squid plastics/lures and squid flies. I think it's possibly just a matter of giving them a go but i'd certainly make some effort towards matching the hatch and targetting known squid eaters. Cheers, Jon
