I can't recall the last time I developed film but I do remember there being 1 Hour Photo shops in nearly every strip mall. Heck, I even remember seeing film photo services offered at the grocery store. Well, those days are gone and they ain't coming back. Welcome to the times when one chain gets sued for improper handling of chemicals and nearly all others decide to drop wet processing to reduce their liability.
If you have film and want it developed, many of the stores will sell you an envelope that are dropped in the mail and the photos are returned to your door... a week to 10 days later. The only one that I found that processes on site in quick order is Walgreens. I've heard that Costco still does it but I haven't confirmed it. |
