There are two article/reports detailing my experinces fishing with Greg Bethune of Carpentaria Seafaris on the Gulf of Carpentaria on my Tackle and Tech blog. I've fished 4 times with Greg and each time was a wonderful experience. Go to the Fly Fishing Resources link above and then to the Tackle and Tech blog link to find the articles (type Carpentaria Seafaris in the seach box). You'll also come up with lots of other information using the site search engine. I'm not sure if Greg is still booking trips now but you can certainly find out from Fishabout. I've not fished with Nomad; but I do believe they also fish the Gulf of Carpentaria and they have a good reputation. If you do fish the Gulf of Carpentaria take floating, intermediate and a fast-sinker like T-14 Custom Cut. I found the sinking lines very useful for working the rock piles and river channels when the fish were not on top. Dan [click here to display pictures]
