I have a reel I got from my great uncle when he passed away. His name was Ed Ow and he was a fly fishing author from California. Among the items I got from him was an older Billy Pate reel and three Fenwick reels along with a few Fenwick rods.
But the mystery lay in another reel that was nearly the same size as the Billy Pate. It functions in a similar fashion, is anti reverse, and seems to be made out of copper plated aluminum. It has absolutely no markings of any kind! I took out the spool and looked but nothing is engraved on any component after I disassembled it (I did not remove the actual handle part or anything for fear of damaging it).
Does anyone know what this thing could be?
