A great trophy bonefish destination

I recently enjoyed a trip to New Caledonia focusing on a new operation establishing there. This area has been fished before, though seldom. There are plenty of areas that have seen little if any angling pressure. New Caledonia is definitely a trophy fish destination. The fishing can be tough but the size of the fish is remarkable. Whilst I managed a few very nice bones (we only really fished 3 days) I think its the fish I saw rather than caught that will keep me returning, including a fish over 25lb that swam within 15 feet of myself and 3 others. If only my fly had been size 2/0 instead of a size 4.......the fish ignored the fly. I never knew they grew that big! I asked the guide if the barracuda were green in New Cal (knowing full well what I had just seen:).
Anyway, finally managed to put some of the video together that David from Ocean Blue Fishing kindly took. BTW, the big bag on my back was a shops worth of camera gear as I was there to photograph:)
