Hey, Guy, you sort of have confirmed my feeling about loading up with gear and going after tarpon and permit. As said before, this is primarily a wading bone fishing trip, and I am now a little more strongly convinced that 8 and 9wt rods will do just fine. I'm forgetting about permit, and as for tarpon, the 9wt will do just fine on any up to around 50#. And if we happen to hook into a bigger one and he breaks off, no problem, either. If Dwayne is not to excited about going after them, that will be OK with me, also.
