| I'd go with the 8wt minimum if you are targeting Florida. For canal fishing the wind might not be an issue but on the flats a 7wt is overmatched when the wind is any more than variable(under 10 mph). Ask anybody that lives here how often the wind is an issue and you'll get a resounding always! Today for instance gusts to 30...UGH! I've been trying to get out bonefishing with Joel for weeks and I can't get the schedule and the weather to cooperate on the same day. You might even consider a 9wt. |
