Greetings:
I will be goin to PR in April and staying in San Juan. What should I bring in terms of Fly Tackle...is a 9 wt enough? or will I need an 11 wt? and due to cost contraints...is there fishing that can be had from the local beaches?? I will be there a week and will likely only have enough $$ in the budjet for 1 guided trip. Also what flies?? I assume there are other species besides baby tarpon to be had such as ladyfish, palmetta, snappers n such.
Also in terms of bringing fly tackle on an aircraft...I assume flys need to be in checked luggage?? But are reels spooled with line and backing OK for carry on?? |
