Seasonal quality of tuna?

Have ny of you observed, or have information on seasonal changes in the quality of tuna? Last night I was at a sushi restaurant that I enjoy and ordered some yellow fin tuna, it was richer, more deeply colored and more succulent than any Y.F.T. I've eaten, it was bordering on bluefin quality.

Have any of you observed seasonal changes in the quality of tuna flesh due to what or how much forage is available? I seem to remember reading some diet program that advocated eating a lot of albacore but advised to check the label for fat content because it can vary be season or location caught, although they were advising to look for less fatty fish, for my purposes I'm liking the richer fatty stuff (that's why I love toro as well).
