| I use those hooks for my bonito flies. They are very sharp, which combined with the thin wire helps them to penetrate to the bend unless the stick in something hard. A hook that penetrates to the bend is much less likely to bend open. I have caught many bonito to 5lbs, lots of largemouth bass, and a few 3 to 7 lb trevally without having one open up. I have opened them up pulling them free from sunken logs, rocks, and kelp. I have caught some of our local (San Diego) bonefish on the SC15 too. These fish are mostly in the 12 to 20 inch size. |
