As Dan mentioned, last year was our biggest event ever both in terms of the quality and volume of the prizes, but also the funds raised. This was in large part due to the dozens of folks that played from home - and won!!

I spent many hours last year writing names on the backs of tickets for all the offsite folks, and I expect to spend even more time this year!

As we all know we are still entrenched in the battle to protect California striped bass, not only their environment but also their status as a sport fish in California! If they lose sport fish status, then they will be essentially GONE, within a matter of years. How this could happen to striped bass, when so many other non-natives are prevalent in California (Brown Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, American Shad, and MANY others), is an absolute OUTRAGE!

I am doing this because I get more than my fair share of sporting pleasure of these incredible sport fish, and have done so my whole life. I want to be able to secure the future of this resource for my growing children. The State of California has already destroyed the premier fisheries like WILD salmon and steelhead, and now we are on the verge of having the rest of it destroyed by private interest political shenanigans.

If you participated last year - please continue or re-double your efforts this year! If you didn't, and you enjoy fishing the delta, PLEASE buy some raffle tickets!! This battle is very expensive!!!

You may purchase tickets for offsite participation by mailing a check to my address (email me to get the address). I will personally write your name on every ticket you purchase, so that we’ll know you won and put your prize aside. We have had MANY offsite winners, every year!!!
