Not any better or worse than other monofiliments. You can try a leather leader straightener or friction heat to get kinks out, but Sufix will, for example, hold a kink from a tight wind knot that you have untied, as will all monofiliments that I have tried. I, like you, wish there was a mono that didn't but I don't know of one.
