In my opinion, yes. I used Cal's for several years, but it kept getting tacky on me after awhile. It was then that Bill Archuleta said forget everything else and just use Lubriplate. That's all I've used for at least the last five or six years and have never looked back. I would guess that maximum top end drag might be a little better with Cal's, but when I need drag of that kind I'm usually using a Mako anyway. Lubriplate is incredibly smooth and it lasts for quite a while. Much longer than Neetsfoot.
